Atlanta's January 2014 Gift Market
It is Friday, 1/10/2014, at the Atlanta Gift Market and I know you are all wondering if the frigid temps the earlier part of the week have affected attendance? Realistically I believe it did the early part of the week but today things are looking up!
Buyers are still searching for that baby gift so they are flowing over into the apparel showrooms. Of course Kissy Kissy is staying busy but I see more and more buyers looking for that new, unique item. Sugarbugs Closet has been around a couple of years but has not penetrated the market to the point of readily being recognized. I am in Bldg. 3, Floor 13, Suite S345A, with Melissa Nichols showing Sugarbugs and you would be well served to visit me...

Chevron is here to stay - at least for a little while!
One of my most successful lines has been Sugarbugs Closet, a line all about baby. The chevron gowns, either cotton or minky plush, have really struck a cord with customers.

The pastel colors, grey included, sell as well as the brighter, bolder colors.

Still popular is the "bringing home from the hospital" outfit. A gown embellished with "A Princess Worth Waiting For" and matching marabou hat seems to be the most popular. Sugarbugs Closet does a gown for baby boys embellished with "A Prince Worth Waiting For".

Fashions for Spring/Summer 2014 still have chevron fabrics and I expect to continue to see chevron throughout 2014 - the colors will change (look for future post about 2014 colors) as will the fabrics.
